Convenient for us as we were going to a Ball at the Pump Room
Staff are extremely welcoming and efficient, with a professional gentle manner
Character building; good carpark; close to town centre; free wifi which works.
The experience is more B&B than hotel. Owners not very communicative or over-friendly but paid staff excellent at the time of my stay. Rooms are a bit cramped but adequate. Interior decoration dated, but if it were upgraded no doubt prices would be too.
Splendid characterful old building in excellent condition. Quiet but convenient location. Friendly staff, good food, good standards of cleanliness. Good value. .
The location of the Hotel was as described, in a tree-lined road away from the centre of Cheltenham. It was possible to walk into the Centre but there was a bus. Evening dinner was optional and therefore the opportunity was available to eat elsewhere if required. We ate in the Hotel each evening and found everything excellent. The hotel was spotless and nicely decorated, the dining room being a particular feature of the orginal house is beautiful. There is adequate parking in the grounds of the hotel.
the staff where very friendly and helpful food was also very good
Very clean and confortable, staff very friendly ,breakfast really nice,
Close to my family, warm and friendly hotel
they made me welcome but didnt intrude on my privacy
Excellent location, part way between the town centre and the racecourse - all within walking distance.
Nice people friendly hotel we had our small dog which they made welcome We only stayed over as we were passing through the town but it was clean The food was good and the staff very accommodating Would recommend the hotel thanks
Rooms all very small with very thin partition walls that caused us to be woken by shower both days (reported to owner) Ridiculous breakfast times And very expensive for what you get
Friendly staff and extended breakfast time the morning after the firre alarm. The offer for moving rooms after the fire alarm. Very considerate, thanks. Plenty of car parking space.
The Cotwold Grange was stately on the outside and charming on the inside. They tried to accomodate us as I have arthritis and could not climb more than one flight of stairs. We ended up in a much nicer room. Very quiet and pleasant. Beautiful hilllsides around. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Was tricky to find.
The rooms are upstairs. So if you have difficulty on stairs - that is a definite disadvantage.
good service, bed comfotable staff friendly and helpful, room badly in need of refurbishment ie damaged and scratched room door, tired and worn wardrobe sliding door, cracked sink, damaged bath, Thought it was poor value for £75 per night.
